Air India is rolling out extra resources at airports and touch points to ensure a seamless transition for Vistara passengers after the merger on November 11th. These resources include help desks, curbside assistance, and dedicated support staff. While Vistara's in-flight experience and routes will initially remain unchanged, ticketing and check-in will eventually transition to Air India systems.
Bangkok will introduce a biometric identification system at its six major airports starting November. The Mumbai airport has increased its terminal entry points (eGates) from 24 to 68, the highest number of eGates at any airport in the country, without any structural modifications. This expansion boosts CSMIA's processing capacity to 7,440 passengers per hour at Terminal 2 (T2) and 2,160 passengers per hour at Terminal 1 (T1), tripling the current capacity.
Union Minister for Civil Aviation Jyotiraditya Scindia has announced plans to transform airport infrastructure across key cities in India.
